Cardiologists are physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases or conditions of the heart or blood vessels with minimal invasive techniques. We perform all diagnostic and interventional procedures involving the heart such as cardiac catheterizations and stent insertion procedures on vessels. These procedures are also known as invasive or interventional respectively. Members of our team are trained in electrophysiology which is the implanting and monitoring of pacemakers and intracardiac defibrillators.

Cardiovascular interventional procedures offered by CAET include:

  • Coronary and peripheral vascular angioplasty and stent implantation
  • Coronary and peripheral vascular intravascular ultrasound
  • Complex coronary and peripheral vascular atherectomy
  • Renal artery stent implantation for hypertension management
  • Carotid artery stent implantation for stroke prevention
  • Peripheral venous intervention including ablation and stent implantation
  • Vena cava filter placement and recovery
  • Pacemaker, defibrillator, and cardiac resynchronization device implantation
  • Percutaneous closure of patent foramine ovale (PFO)
